Oklahoma Bingo

Oklahoma has for a long time been synonymous with Bingo. This is due to the fact that the American Indian tribes of Oklahoma have run Bingo games for years. Guests from all of the neighboring states get in trucks and head over to Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo for the weekends.

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) became law after a precedent setting decree by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year before. Since that time, twenty three of the thirty nine American Indian tribes located in Oklahoma have opened gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Indian band to take advantage of the gambling restrictions, and today control 10 casinos of their own. Bingo is the game on which these casinos were built on. digital games like one armed bandits were not authorized, due to the fact that they are believed to lead to gambling addiction more than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules have changed to permit large Native wagering gambling halls. You’ll now discover Native gambling dens with slot machine games, video poker and chemin de fer tables. Craps and roulette are not yet authorized in the American Indian casinos as of yet, but that is only a matter of time. Nobody can determine what having different gambling den games in the bingo houses will do for the draw of bingo.
